Fo the partial fulfillment of M.Sc Course (Information Technology) I have done a dissertation entitled Hostel Management. This project work deals with the design and development of a package entitled HOSTEL MANAGEMENT for the use of a Hostel. The software includes registration, admission and mess management, payment and refund of fees. This project has planned to automate allocation of accommodation facility for different groups of students and to find the mess fees of one month. These systems we can be modified according to our needs. For this project we have seen only one issue. But these systems can be used to modify the staff details and other managements too. This project can be implemented on windows system VISUAL BASIC and database systems like Ms-Access. PGDCA- Institute of Human Resources Development, Calicut, Kerala, India. Dissertation entitled Railway Information System has been done. An easy use computer based system to handle the information procedure named railway information system has been developed.
