Overview: We need a ‘Web-Guru’ proficient with both back-end as well as front-end development tools and a willingness to take up challenging web-development assignments. As a programmer in a startup company you will be pretty much on your own. So, hands on experience and an ability to work independently and produce quick results is an absolute necessity.
Mandatory Skills Required: Must be a team player with an open receptive mind, an aggressive spirit, jovial demeanor, a super-fast learning ability, excellent communication skills, and an eye for aesthetic detail focusing on customer needs.
Technical Skills Required:
• Sound knowledge of HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, CSS, and JavaScript Libraries like Scriptaculous, JSON, jQuery, YUI etc
• Ability at developing dynamic AJAX driven web solutions, cross-browser development practices and browser degradation strategies.
• Intermediate knowledge of PHP 5.0, AJAX, JSP and/or ASP.NET.
• Experience with integration with relational databases and SQL
• Past experience in transaction oriented web portal development preferable
• Should be passionate about building world class user experiences and have an expert command of Web client development and Web2.0 technologies
Additionally Preferred:
• Experience on Google based API programming
• Experience in statistical packages like SAS, SPSS
Education: Prior work experience of 2-5 years is preferred, however, candidates with higher years of experience are welcome to apply. Education in Mathematics / Statistics would be a great plus.
Location: NCR Delhi
Shift: We are looking at a night shift based job and are located in NCR region. We are quite flexible on exact shift timings. Since it is a startup, the person will get a fairly high degree of autonomy and independence on work timings as long as desired milestones are achieved. The job can be a perfect fit for a candidate who is pursuing part time management degree or higher education. Again since it is a startup with unpredicatable timelines, unmarried candidates may stand a better chance, however skillset will play a dominant role in decision making.
