Company description:
In the August of 2007, Young Internet Inc. was established in Berlin, Germany. A group of young IT developers and creative heads developed a virtual community world called Panfu.
Here, children from 6 years of age could choose from a range of games to play whilst learning different media and language skills, or they could simply get in touch with other children of the same age.
Currently, about sixty employees between the ages of 20 and 35, from various countries and backgrounds work on the Panfu project.
Together, the team provides a varied, attractive web-based play land in which children, in the form of a panda, can discover the virtual world of Panfu.
Within Panfu, there is an interdisciplinary cooperation between flash developers, illustrators, designers, graphic designers, and programmers as well as journalists, editors, event planners, translators and writers. These well-educated professionals work together so that www.panfu.com stays true to its claims and continues to have rich and creative content that will improve future virtual worlds for children.
Included among the investors in the company is the Verlagsgruppe Georg von Holtzbrinck.
Young Internet Inc. supports conservation organisations and lobbies for the preservation of the endangered Giant Panda.
The company is a sponsor of Fu Long, the new baby panda from Vienna Zoo. He is the first baby panda to be born in a European zoo in over twenty years.

The Young Internet GmbH is a young, rapidly growing internet company.
We are a team of young developers and creative heads who are developing a virtual world for children at our office in the heart of Berlin.
With our project www.panfu.de we created a complex 2D-environment in which young and youngest internet users can play, chat and learn with their 3D-avatar. Our site has been online since early December and we already record an impressive number of members.
