Maharashtra State Seeds Corporation is popularly known as Mahabeej. incepted on 28th April,1976 and has recently completed 3 decades of its service to the farmers. The MSSCL has been developed to give quality seeds at an affordable price to each class of farmers of Maharashtra. MSSCL is always branded for its quality through out its 30 years of service to the nation. MSSCL has widen its area of operation through out Maharashtra and it has also grown its area of operation in various States of India such as Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Gujrat, Rajasthan, Chhatisgarh, West Bengal etc. and it has also widen its operation across the country by making export of Jute seed to Bangla Desh. Now, MSSCL has achieved its turnover morethan Rs. 250 crores having its 26 seed processing plants and offices at various locations in Maharashtra as well as country. It is a unique feature of the Corporation that it is always a pride for us that the Government of India has honoured the MSSCL by conferring 15 National Productivity Awards consecutively, DSIR award for Research and Development, Excellent Industry Award and Udyog Ratna Award to our Ex.Managing Director.
